Eight layers of rigidity

Rigid flex circuits combine the advantages of rigid circuit boards and flex circuits into one circuit. The 2-in-1 circuits are interconnected through plated through holes. Rigid-flex circuits offer higher component density and better quality control. The design is rigid where extra support is needed, yet flexible around corners and areas where extra space is needed.

Connection reliability - connecting rigid layers with flexible cables is the basis for combining rigid flex circuits.

Five layers of rigidity and softness

Fewer parts count - Combination rigid flex circuits require fewer parts and interconnects than traditional rigid circuit boards.

High Density ApplICations - Typically, rigid assemblies of rigid flex circuits are used in high density device clusters. In addition, flex circuits allow tiny, narrow lines to give way to high-density device clusters. Dense device counts and lighter conductors can be designed into products to make room for other product features.

Package size and weight reduction - Multiple systems in a rigid board generate more weight and utilize more space. Combining rigid circuit boards with flex circuits allows for a more streamlined design that reduces package size and weight.
