A complete list of other Terms related to Circuit Board PCB (II)

1. Clip Terminal Winding terminal

It refers to a way of connecting the circuit board with the outside world, that is, on the board has been soldered gold guide Pin (or Post), in order to remove the skin of the metal wire winding, tightly wound on the tip column to complete the connection. Pin plate (Fixture) base used in circuit board testing is connected with the testing machine in this way.

2.The Coaxial Cable was coaxial cable

Coaxial cable refers to a metal conductor with a central interconnecting function and a tubular or wire braided layer with an insulating layer and an additional grounding or barrier function. (See the attached figure on the previous page)

3. Cold Flow

Refers to the long-term suppression of the material by fixed external force, the formation of scale deformation, called "Cold Flow".

4. Daughter Board

Is corresponding to the Mother Board (Mother Board) or host board name, refers to the small area, and inserted in the large mother board of small card board, such as the personal computer host board plug-in various adapter card, that is, the sub-board (text used to be called Daughter), usually "sub-board" is equipped with plate edge gold finger, can be inserted in the connector of the mother board, To facilitate exchange.

5. Degradation

It refers to the deterioration of the properties of a substance or product after a physical process or chemical change, less involving mechanical action. Generally, some degree of degradation may be allowed to occur after being tested by environmental tests.

6. Denier Daniel

A unit of diameter for various types of yarn used in weaving and weaving, originally defined as the weight in grams of yarn per 9,842 yards (or 9,000 meters) of length. This word is often used to express very fine silk fabrics, such as women's glass stockings of super-fine silk (about 7 ~ 20 danel), the fabric has been thin to nearly transparent state.

7, Die Stamping

It is a construction method for Embossing (Embossing for short), in which a steel mold is used to press the patterns and characters of Yin or Yang characters on a soft metal surface. The most common metal coins are produced rapidly in large quantities by this method. The circuit board is less used in this process, sometimes in the multilayer plate pressing, in order to distinguish the press, shift or OEM, also in the plate side with hand die "embossing" way, deliberately make temporary marks, in order to facilitate tracing.

8. Dispersant

It is an organic interfacial surfactant that can be added to a solution to Disperse large suspended particles into smaller ones, and to disperse it evenly in solution to give a better emulsifying effect.

9. Doctor Blade.

The coating containing impregnated liquid material is poured on the reinforcing material, and the tool required for scraping is added in the conveying and moving process, which is called the leveling knife. Such as B-Stage film in glue into the oven before scraping knife operation, is an example.

10. The Drift

Refers to a resistor or capacitor after a period of temperature and humidity aging or use, may have a permanent change in the output reading value, known as "drift".

11. E-Beam(Electron Beam)

E-Beam, or EB, is a tiny source of energy that can be used as a direct light source without a negative. Electron beams are bent and accurately positioned using Electrostatic Plates to generate Submicron-Size imaging. Assembly can also use the heat of the electron beam for precise welding in a small area in a vacuum.

12. Elastomer

Elastomer refers to an object that can be stretched by a low tensile force at room temperature to more than twice its length and which can return to its original state once the tensile force is relaxed.

13. Embossing embossing

Embossing of Yangwen pattern may be embossed on a plastic or metal surface under heating and die stamping, which is called embossing.

14. Emulsion

Refers to the liquid has many fine solid particles suspended or spherical, or another kind of insoluble but dispersed very broken liquid, are called emulsification. Such as milk, mud, or gasoline forced shake mixed in water, are permanent or temporary emulsion. In order to remove oily dirt from item surfaces, the "Emulsifying Agent" may often find use in the cleaning solution to make it easy to clean the oil.

15, Fineness, purity, granularity

The narrow sense refers to the pure gold content in gold, and the broad sense refers to the purity of the substance and the particle size of the powder.

16, Fluorescence

When an object (such as mercury vapor) absorbs energy such as foreign electrons, ultraviolet rays or X-rays, it causes the electrons in the substance to reach the Excited State. When the excited electrons lose excess energy and return to the original normal state, they will quickly emit the excess energy in the form of light (within 10-8 seconds). It's called fluorescence. When that extra energy is emitted slowly for a long time, it is called Phosphorescence. The welding process of circuit board assembly must use flux, and the cleaning after welding needs to use CFC solvent (trichlorotrifluorohexane, CF-113), in order to achieve the purpose of thorough cleaning. Now the global environmental awareness is rising, CFCS will be completely banned in 1995, so a variety of alternative washing process have emerged. But whether these alternatives can achieve the desired level of cleanliness, fluorophores can be used as a powerful visual inspection tool. The method is to add a little fluorescent agent (0.5~1 g/1) in the flux tank, so that the board after welding cleaning, can be inspected under UV light. As long as a little flux residue exists on the surface of the plate, the fluorescent reflection can be observed. It is a simple and effective method to check cleanliness.

17. Flush Point

The minimum temperature at which the vapors of an ignitable liquid surface are ignited into an open flame under given conditions is FP. There are many kinds of test methods for flash ignition, but they are all slightly different from each other, so it is difficult to get agreement.

18. Free board

Formerly referred to the unflooded side of a ship's hull above the waterline. This term is also used in the operation of a solvent Vapor Degraser. It refers to the upper part of the wall inside the solvent tank, that is, the dry wall part above the steam area or above the condensate pipe, especially called Freeboard.

19, Galvanizing galvanizing

This is old-fashioned "Zinc Plating", which is now more commonly used.

20. Glaze and glaze

Refers to the formation of a glass - like surface after melting called glaze. And ceramic parts are Glazed Substrate, which is glazed substrate and is glazed substrate.

21. Glycol(Ethylene Glycol)

It is a clear and colorless diol, such as pulp, molecular formula CH2OH, CH2OH, sweet water soluble, can be used as antifreeze, coolant, cooling liquid, etc. It is widely used in various flux and solution formulations in PCB industry.

22, Grain Size of crystal

The size of the unit grain of a compound crystal.

23, Grass Leak

All kinds of electronic parts with sealed outer body, such as IC or resistor and capacitor, the package must be prepared with the basic leak-proof performance. The so-called "large leak" means that at a differential pressure of 1 atmosphere, if there is a leakage of one hundred thousandth of a cubic centimeter (C.C.) per second, it is said to have existed.

24. Halide

In a broad sense, it refers to fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and other compounds. It is a common chemical "word root" and has no special meaning. In the circuit board industry is more refers to "black and white film" coated with sensitive emulsion film Silver halide (Silver Halied) for short. The word is also commonly used in Metal Halide lamps. This kind of halogen lamp is actually made of tungsten filament incandescent lamp, only in the bulb has been filled with iodide, in the high temperature of light iodine sublimation will form vapor and filled in between, so that tungsten atoms in tungsten wire is not easy to evaporate, and the vaporized tungsten atoms will be captured by iodine atoms, and then sink to tungsten wire, so not only its longevity, and brightness will be brighter. Common ones such as car headlights or tubes in some exposure machines also belong to this type of metal halogen lamp.
