How to Select the Chip Inductance in the Chip Processing Factory

SMT chip inductor in SMT chip factory is a common component. It is also called power and large current inductor or surface mount high power inductor. It is characterized by small size, high quality, high energy storage and low resistance, and is one of the basic components in SMT chip factory. There are four types of chip inductors: wound, laminated, braided and film chip inductors. Inductance is an attribute of a closed circuit. When the current flows through the coil, a magnetic field will be induced in the coil, and the induced magnetic field will generate an induced current to resist the current passing through the coil. The interaction between the current and the coil is called electric inductance, or inductance for short. Its unit is "Henry H". The circuit parameters that cause the induced electromotive force effect in this coil or in another coil. Inductance is a combination of self inductance and mutual inductance. Components that provide inductance are called inductors. In actual SMT production and processing, winding inductors and laminated inductors are commonly used.

Precautions for inductor selection include:

1. When replacing the inductance, pay attention to the inductance and its operating frequency band.

2. If the chip inductance accuracy is required to be greater than ± 5%, it is necessary to prepare the goods in advance.

3. The appearance and size of the inductor are similar, and there is no obvious mark on the appearance.

4. Different products have different coil diameters. For the same inductance, its DC and resistance are different.

5. Some capacitors need to pass large current, which should also be considered when selecting.

6. The inductance shall be prevented from being changed by the tensile stress during cooling due to excessive solder during production.

7. Different inductors are produced in different ways. Some use reflow soldering and wave soldering, while others cannot use wave soldering.

8. Power inductance is often used in DC and DC converters. The size of inductance will directly lead to the working state of the circuit. In production, the method of adding or subtracting coils will be used to change its inductance to obtain the best effect. These are some precautions when using inductors in a chip factory.
