SMT PCB Assembly FAQ
1.Can you do high volume SMT placement?
Kingford can definitely do SMT placement in large quantities. You can place an SMT proofing order first. After you receive our SMT proofing order, there is no problem with the inspection, and then notify us to produce large quantities of SMT placement. You can also send the PCB file to us for basic inspection and confirmation of the project, once confirmed, you can repeat the order and do mass production.
2.Is the purchasing channel of Kingford components formal?

We have a procurement supply chain team of nearly 20 people, who can purchase all kinds of components you need at the most affordable price according to your needs, 100% original and genuine products, traceable sources, and minimize your labor costs. .

3.What are the requirements for the customer to provide materials?
Please do not buy or provide oxidized components, which is not conducive to the solderability of soldering. Please prepare a suitable amount of material damage for incoming materials. Please confirm the amount of material damage with the salesman; please attach the incoming material request form for incoming materials. Please separately package the products separately; in case of one of the bulk materials, the price will be calculated separately.
4.What happens to the remaining components after the SMT product is completed?
If you think the parts will be used again, we can keep your remaining parts in our inventory for your next order; or we can ship spare parts with your completed order so you can use them for troubleshooting and repair.
5.How to ensure the quality of products?

Our high quality standards are achieved in the following ways. All production processes are strictly controlled in accordance with ISO & IATF & UL standards, IQC incoming material inspection: to prevent poor manufacturing process due to poor materials and delay delivery; SPI solder paste inspection: to find out in advance that the front-end process flows out of the next process (inspection standard: 3D inspection + data statistical analysis); online AOI inspection: check whether there are errors or omissions in the produced products, and bad materials flow out of the next process; SMT first article inspection: ensure that the components attached to the production model are completely consistent with the customer's assembly drawing and bill of materials Compliant to prevent defects from flowing into the next process (refer to BOM and Gerber data, inspect each solder joint of the first board); Appearance inspection: Sampling inspection of all production processes to see if it is consistent with the operation instructions (validity standard: each product Process instructions and instructions for each position); X-Ray welding inspection: inspect the solder joints of components that are invisible to the naked eye to avoid short-circuiting out of the next process;

BGA device rework: X-Ray detects bad soldering of BGA, disassembles and solders under temperature-controlled conditions, reduces the impact on the device and ensures the quality of repair soldering; QA inspection: standardizes the inspection of finished products to prevent unqualified products from being shipped; Electrostatic warehousing and shipment: anti-static packaging and safety protection warehousing.

6.What documents are required for SMT processing?
Need to provide the product bill of materials BOM, PCB file, stencil file, bit number silk screen, component coordinate file
7.What if you are not satisfied with the PCB you produce?

If you experience any problems with our products or are dissatisfied with our products or services, you can let us know at sales@kingfordpcb.com. We promise to reply you within 24 hours and provide you with satisfactory service. In the event of a defect, we will remanufacture your PCB until our PCB products satisfy you.

8.What should be paid attention to in the PCB production process?
First of all, you need to consider the material of the PCB, such as flexible substrate, common insulating substrate. Then, PCB layout/board layout, board assembly, board edge. Also, for finishing surfaces, immersion gold circuit boards or OSP, etc. Also, surface mount packages such as Ball Grid Array (BGA) or QFN etc. For more considerations for PCB manufacturing in the PCB industry, please contact our team.
9.What is a puzzle?
The circuit boards of different circuits are assembled into one circuit board, that is, the imposition. The imposition can choose to completely cut, V cut, slot, stamp hole, etc. to distinguish different circuit boards.
10.What is the conventional process?
Conventional process definition: green oil white characters, 1.6mm thick plate, lead spray tin, copper thickness 10Z, via cover oil, line density over 0.2mm, via hole over 0.3mm. For unconventional processes, please submit process requirements to business personnel for quotation.
11.What information do I need to provide for PCB manufacturing?

Gerber files need to be provided, and if you also need soldered components, you need to provide a bill of materials, and you can consult customer service personnel for details.

12.How long does it take you to manufacture the PCB?

Ours is upon receipt of your Gerber file and all other necessary documents, reviewed by us and re-determined by you, when all these reviews and inspections are completed, we will start manufacturing immediately, please consult customer service for details.

Just upload Gerber files, BOM files and design files, and the KINGFORD team will provide a complete quotation within 24h.
