PCB materials generally include FR-4, CEM-3, etc., with thickness ranging from 0.6mm to 3.0mm, and copper thickness ranging from ½ Oz to 3 Oz are different. But when we design a project, we often pay more attention to the layout and wiring, and often ignore the additional PCB manufacturing cost in the design. 1. Number of wiring layers:

The more layers of design, the easier it is to wire, but the price rises linearly with the number of layers, and the final price of board making may double.

2. Through hole:

If it is not limited by the device pitch or design density, vias with a diameter of more than 0.25mm and vias with a diameter of less than 0.25mm should be used as much as possible. Most PCB manufacturers need to charge additional fees. Even if the materials are the same and the process is the same, different difficulties of PCB itself will cause different costs. For example, if there are 1000 holes on both kinds of circuit boards, the drilling cost will be different if the hole diameter of one board is greater than 0.6 mm and the hole diameter of the other board is less than 0.6 mm; If the other two types of circuit boards are the same, but the line width and line spacing are different, one is greater than 0.2mm, and the other is less than 0.2mm, it will also cause different production costs. Because the boards with great difficulty have a higher scrap rate, the cost will inevitably increase.

3. Plug hole in plate:

Do not use it unless the signal, layout and package are limited.

4. Back drilling:

When used in backplanes or boards with high-speed signals, the cost will increase by 10%~20%.

5. Line weight and line spacing:

Generally, if it is less than 3.5mil, the manufacturer will increase the charge. If there is no special requirement, it shall be greater than 6mil as much as possible

6. Sheet:

7. HDI and blind hole design:

The increased cost of this item is very large, and it is better not to use it if the package allows. Note: BGA packages with a pitch of 0.65mm and above can be fanned out through holes. 8. Surface technology:
